Rightful Mindset Tends to Solve Problem
Many years ago, I went to the Colorado Spring Olympic Training Center for Women s Judo Camp program with my Judo friends. We went to rent a car. We requested a small car with a manual transmission. The man behind the counter told me that they don’t carry manual only automatic. I raised my voice “what do you mean you don’t have a manual? He looked at me as if I came from Mar. “Nobody request manual” He said coldly.
I have never driven automatic before. I was embarrassed to admit that I did not know how. I panicked.
I already had a pressure of being high altitude with very strict and strenuous workout ahead from 6 in the morning till 9 in the evening for a whole week with 80 very feisty girls from all over the states. I was preparing for right mindset for mentally. Renting a car, to do some sight seeing for fun before training starts, was turning to stress instead.
A quick rightful mindset change was required. And I did, I managed to drive this automatic car I have never driven before without running into anything in the unfamiliar territory.
What was your most difficult mindset for you to overcome? When did rightful mindset come to your rescue?
