Knuckle Princes Eri Yoshida Drafted First Female Baseball Player In Japan
At 16 years old High school girl April 2009 Eri Yoshida was drafted by Kobe 9 Cruse team. She was a first female baseball player in Japanese history to be drafted. At 155 centimeter tall and 56 kilograms, Eri was only a 16 year old high school student. Her dream was to be just like Boston Red Sox’ pitcher and knuckle ball thrower Tim Wakefield . If she can be just like Tim Wakefield she can hold down boys by knuckle ball throws. Even though her dream was big she never thought she would be the first girl to be drafted to all male baseball team in Japan.
