She was a first female baseball player in Japanese history to be drafted. At 155 centimeter tall and 56 kilograms, Eri was only a 16 year old high school student. The “Knuckle Princess” Eri Yoshida made her decision to be a professional baseball player and join a man’s world when she was only thirteen years old after seeing Wakefield throw a “knuckle” ball.
